Starting in Silicon Valley in 2005, today Safari Kid has over 1500 children in its preschool centres across the world with centres in the US, Canada, India, Hong Kong and Malaysia. The Malaysian branch of Safari Kid is located in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur just off of the E23.
The curriculum used is known as the Emergent Curriculum and has been created from the best practices of the Reggio Emilia, Waldorf Steiner and Montessori methods to develop an inquisitive mind for learning in the child and has been developed over the course of over eight years in Silicon Valley. Although all head teachers in each class are Native English speakers, many also speak Mandarin and/or German. The school believes that the first five years of a child’s life are the most important and are the foundations for all further education and advancement for character in the future, this means that the school works to stimulate all areas of the child’s brain to ensure that all elements of the child’s intelligence and character are strengthened as much as possible. The preschool comes equipped with a swimming pool, an art studio, an outdoor play area, a vegetable garden and fully equipped classrooms across 14 thousand square feet of land.
Hours differ based on the class:
