Are you a passionate and experienced public speaking and debate coach? Do you thrive on helping students develop confidence, critical thinking, and persuasive communication skills? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
 
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Debate & Speech Coach to join our team in Shanghai. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in public speaking, debate coaching, and competitive debate training. You will work with talented students, guiding them to excel in national and international speech & debate competitions.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach students in public speaking, debate formats (BP, WSDC, LD, PF, etc.), and argumentation skills
  • Prepare students for high-level debate tournaments and speech competitions
  • Develop engaging lesson plans and training materials
  • Provide individualised feedback to enhance students’ performance
  • Foster a passionate and competitive learning environment
  • Work on weekends to accommodate student schedules
  • Lead and participate in summer debate camps
 
What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong experience in competitive debating (as a coach or participant)
  • Proven track record of coaching students to success in debate tournaments
  • Excellent public speaking and communication skills
  • Ability to engage and inspire students
  • Willingness to work weekends and summer camps
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, English, Politics, Education, or related field (preferred)

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years
Type of Staff:
Male or Female can apply to this job
Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary   CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
Housing:
Housing allowance of Based on application  CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) provided
