Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons, ensuring that they meet the needs of students at different levels and encourage a love for literature, writing, and communication.
• Student Development: Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a passion for reading and writing. Encourage students to explore a range of literary genres, develop their writing style, and enhance their language abilities.
• Assessment & Feedback: Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments. Provide timely and constructive feedback to support students' academic growth.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and motivated to learn. Implement effective behavior management strategies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to enhance the curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the broader educational goals of the school.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in teaching and pedagogy.

Job Requirements

• Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, or a related field. A teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) is preferred.
• Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience teaching English at the secondary level, ideally in an international school environment.
• Teaching Skills: A deep understanding of the English language curriculum and a passion for teaching literature, writing, and language skills to secondary students.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Classroom Management: Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, focused learning environment.
• Cultural Awareness: Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, with sensitivity and adaptability to different educational needs.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Arabic is a plus but not required.
