Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in Primary Education
  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
  • Passion for working with young learners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with the IB or American curriculum is a plus, but not essential
  • Preference given to those that already have the IB training

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the IB PYP curriculum with a focus on inquiry-based, student-centered learning.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages students to take responsibility for their learning and promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and independence.
  • Plan and implement engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners, using a range of teaching strategies and resources.
  • Assess students’ progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and the leadership team to plan and coordinate transdisciplinary units of inquiry.
  • Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere where all students feel valued and motivated.
  • Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities, as well as community outreach and events.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continue growing as an educator in the IB framework.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress, school activities, and any concerns.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:
Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
Experience:
2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)
Must be a native speaker of English
Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered
Prefer candidates with international experience
Additional:
**Experience of the IB Curriculum is beneficial but not essential as training will be given
**Experience of USA Curriculum such as American Harcourt, AP and Common Core is highly valued
**It will be beneficial to your application if you have experience of working in the Middle East or with non-native speakers of English

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 12500 up to 16000  AED (UAE Dirham) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
Housing:
Based on application  fully furnished Housing provided
Medical:
State/Public medical provided
Flights:
Flight(s) provided annual flights for the teacher only
Utility Bills:
500AED per month
Baggage Allowance:
up to 500 USD on actual reciept
Bereavement Leave:
up to 500 USD on actual reciept

Emergency Evacuation:
Emergency evacuation given
Gratuity Amount:
Gratuity Amount of 1 month bonus pay for each year accrued is provided
Tuition fees covered for children:

2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
Additional information:
**Tuition is provided for 2 children aged 3-18 years of age
**IB workshop training provided up to $3000 as well as in-house CPD
