About the Role:
Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Biology Teacher to join their dynamic Science department at a leading British international school in Beijing. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality IGCSE and A-Level Biology lessons, inspiring students to develop a deep understanding and love for the subject.
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and deliver IGCSE and A-Level Biology lessons following the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) syllabus.
*Foster students’ critical thinking, practical skills, and scientific curiosity through engaging and interactive teaching.
*Conduct and supervise practical laboratory experiments, ensuring safety regulations are met.
*Differentiate teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learners and maximise student potential.
*Prepare students for external examinations, ensuring strong academic achievement.
*Encourage student participation in STEM competitions, science fairs, and extracurricular activities.
*Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Science curriculum and promote cross-disciplinary learning.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Biology, Science, or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience teaching IGCSE and A-Level Biology (IB experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of Cambridge IGCSE, A-Level, or IB assessment criteria.
- Experience in international or British curriculum schools is preferred.
