The school is looking for a dynamic and motivated PE Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering an engaging and inclusive Physical Education curriculum, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, and inspiring students to participate in sports and physical activities. The role includes teaching a range of sports, fitness training, and teamwork-based activities across different age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality PE lessons that cater to students of varying abilities and interests.
- Promote physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a positive attitude towards exercise.
- Introduce students to a variety of sports, games, and physical activities, including team sports, athletics, swimming, and individual fitness.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all students, including those with different fitness levels and physical abilities.
- Assess student progress through practical performance, skill development, and theoretical knowledge.
- Integrate sports science, health education, and well-being into PE lessons.
- Organise and lead school sports events, tournaments, and inter-house competitions.
- Coach and manage school sports teams in local, national, or international competitions.
- Support and encourage student participation in after-school sports clubs.
- Promote an inclusive sporting environment, ensuring all students have the opportunity to participate and develop confidence in their physical abilities.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
* A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, IB Certificate, or equivalent).
* Experience teaching PE in an international or national curriculum setting (IGCSE, IB MYP/DP, or local equivalent preferred).
* Strong knowledge of sports coaching techniques, fitness training principles, and health education.
* First Aid & CPR certification is highly desirable.
