Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
  • Valid teaching or counselling license (or equivalent certification)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a school counsellor (experience in an international school setting is an advantage)
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, behaviour management, and crisis intervention
  • Ability to work with diverse student populations

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administration
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling for students
  • Support students in managing stress, academic pressure, and social challenges
  • Create and deliver workshops on topics such as mental health, study skills, and emotional well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop support plans for students
  • Handle crises and provide immediate support when necessary
  • Promote a positive, inclusive school environment
