Secondary Music Teacher

The school is seeking a passionate and talented Secondary Music Teacher to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore and develop their musical abilities, fostering a love of music and performance across Key Stages 3 and 4.
 
Key Responsibilities:
**Plan and deliver engaging music lessons in line with the English National Curriculum.
**Prepare students for music assessments, performances, and examinations (e.g., GCSE or equivalent).
**Organise and lead extra-curricular activities, including choirs, ensembles, or musical productions.
**Encourage creativity and self-expression through practical and theoretical music lessons.
**Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music into cross-curricular projects and school events.
**Maintain high standards of classroom management and student engagement.
**Support individual student progress through differentiated teaching and personalised feedback.
 
Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is highly desirable.
- Experience teaching Music at the secondary level, including GCSE or equivalent.
- Proficiency in a variety of instruments and familiarity with music technology/software.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to inspiring and nurturing students’ musical talents.
- Prior experience in an international school or Middle Eastern context is advantageous.

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary from 1200 up to 2000  OMR (Omani Rial) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE

Housing allowance of 50% subsidised housing allowance  OMR (Omani Rial) provided
