Our outstanding British School in Beijing is seeking a dedicated Early Years SENCO to join their team and help shape inclusive practices in their Early Years setting.
 
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the development and implementation of inclusive strategies and individualised support plans for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND).
*Identify and assess children’s needs in collaboration with teachers, parents, and external specialists, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
*Provide expert guidance and training to staff on identifying and supporting SEND students, embedding best practices across the Early Years team.
*Act as the key point of contact for families, offering advice and support to ensure a collaborative approach to children’s development.
*Liaise with external agencies, therapists, and other professionals to coordinate additional support and services for children with SEND.
*Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, ensuring progress is tracked and adjustments are made as needed.
*Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with SEND policies and relevant statutory guidelines.
 
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- A recognised qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN), Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with children aged 3–7 in an educational setting, with a strong focus on SEND.
- In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and SEND Code of Practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
 
Desirable Attributes:
- SENCO accreditation or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working in an international or British curriculum school setting.
- Familiarity with supporting bilingual learners and working in a multicultural environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
 
The international school is fully accredited by the CIS, WASC and is also an IB school. The school was inspected by Independent School Inspectorate (ISI) and received very high standard report.

Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary   CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 10-25 % Tax is applied
