SeekTeachers is seeking an experience and qualified Head of Science to join our client in Shanghai, China. The school takes a hollistic approach to every child's learning and school experience, aiming to develop students’ character, their social skills and to enable them to fulfil their academic potential.
Our client is a Chinese International School offering bilingual education to students from Kindergarten to High School. The school provides a dynamic and innovative integrated education programme encompassing the Chinese compulsory curriculum, international educational philosophy and pedagogies, and the IB Diploma Programme, as well as world class facilities and outstanding faculty from China and around the world. The school is committed to providing a variety of stimulating, challenging and fun learning experiences, both inside and outside the classroom.
The role is to be responsible for the overall standards of teaching and learning in the subject area. This candidate is not only an exceptional teacher, but also is committed to the school values and philosophy in creating a bilingual, bicultural learning environment. The candidate should be able to communicate effectively with the team and creates a positive environment for staff to flourish and for students to learn. The HoD is responsible for the High School curriculum and reports directly into the High School Coordinator.
To apply, you must:
**Have a bachelor degree or above in relevant subject
**Fully qualified teacher with QTS
**Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
**Previous experience in an international school/British education system preferred
**Have a strong subject knowledge
**Demonstrated success in working with students in the age range
**Experience in teaching EAL/ELL students is desirable
