The school is dedicated to nurturing a lifelong passion for learning, with a strong emphasis on scientific inquiry and critical thinking. They are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Secondary Science Teacher to join their team and inspire students to explore and understand the natural world.
The role involves teaching core science subjects in English, engaging students in inquiry-based learning, and promoting a scientific mindset. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education, experience with international science standards, and a proven ability to make complex scientific concepts accessible and exciting for students.
Key Responsibilities
**Develop and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with international standards and school-specific curriculum requirements.
**Teach a variety of science subjects (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) with a focus on scientific methods, experimentation, and analytical thinking.
**Foster curiosity and critical thinking by encouraging students to conduct their own experiments, analyse results, and present findings.
**Incorporate cross-cultural and global perspectives, highlighting the role of science in addressing worldwide challenges.
**Collaborate with the science department to plan interdisciplinary projects and integrate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) approaches.
**Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate regularly with students, parents, and school leadership.
Requirements to apply:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching science, preferably in a bilingual, international, or multicultural school setting.
- Valid teaching credential (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) in Science or a related field.
- IGCSE and A Level experience is essential
- Proficiency in English (required); Mandarin proficiency is a plus but not required.
- Strong communicator, innovative, culturally aware, and enthusiastic about hands-on science education.
