The Primary role involves teaching primary-aged students in English while collaborating closely with local staff to integrate Chinese and Western educational practices. Candidates should have a strong understanding of international primary curriculum standards, experience working in bilingual or multicultural environments, and a commitment to developing well-rounded, globally-minded students.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach primary school students in a bilingual setting, primarily in English and Science
- Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans in line with international and school-specific curriculum standards.
- Collaborate with local teachers and staff to ensure a seamless integration of English and Chinese language learning.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes cross-cultural understanding and respect.
- Assess and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and school leadership.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and other community-building initiatives.
Requirements to apply:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a bilingual or international school setting.
- Native-level English proficiency; Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage but not required.
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and a passion for education and student development.
