The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing English language skills among young learners in line with the Cambridge's curriculum guidelines. You will work in a vibrant and collaborative setting, helping students develop their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while fostering a love of the English language.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the Cambridge curriculum, focusing on literacy and language development.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and support English language learners.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and guidance to both students and parents.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and respect for cultural diversity.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school-wide initiatives.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and the broader school community to enhance students’ holistic development.
Candidate Requirements
*Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field. Teaching qualification such as PGCE, QTS, or equivalent.
*Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching English at the primary level. Experience working in multicultural or EFL/ESL settings is highly desirable.
*Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to inspire and engage young learners with creative and effective teaching methods.
*Open-mindedness and respect for the local culture, with a willingness to contribute to the school's community values.
*Experience in delivering English language support in line with MoE standards or familiarity with the South East Asian education system.
