SeekTeachers is seeking an experienced and committed Primary Head of Visual Arts to join our client in Shanghai.
The position is to lead teaching practitioners who know their subject content and how to teach it in an engaging way that leads to learning progress for a diverse student body. They plan and implement effective teaching and learning, and create and maintain supportive and safe learning environments. They draw on their professional knowledge to lead teaching and learning within their subject while also contributing to the pedagogical success of the school.
Our client is a non-profit bilingual school located in the beautiful Shanghai city, offering a unique Year 1 - 12 educational programme that integrates elements of Shanghai and international curricula, culminating in Years 9-12 with the IGCSE and IB Diploma Programmes, which are complemented by core components of the Shanghai curriculum.
The school has been established for over 10 years and currently enrols over 1,500 students from aged 5-18.
An ideal candidate should be
**Bachelor’s degree or above, major in education or related ones
**Teaching qualification: Fine Art/Visual Arts or relevant training qualification
**5+ years of full-time teaching experience
**Teaching experience in international or bilingual school (preferred)
**Working experience as a Head of Department/Subject
