SeekTeachers is urgently seeking an experienced AP Maths teacher to join our client in Xi'an, China. The position is to start immediately and to teach Maths up to the high school level.
This position is based in an International High School, which was established for over 10 years ago and currently caters for almost 500 students aged 16-18 years old. This school enjoys a reputation as one of the most comprehensive and academically challenging secondary school in Xi'an, with access to an excellent range of facilities.

Primary responsibilities:
* Develop lesson plans aligned with the Advanced Placement (AP) syllabus.
* Ensure lessons cover essential concepts like calculus, statistics, or algebra, depending on the course.
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons to prepare students for AP exams.
* Use differentiated teaching strategies to meet students' varying learning needs.
* Design quizzes, tests, and homework to track student progress.
* Provide constructive feedback to help students improve.
* Guide students on AP exam format and strategies for success.
* Organise mock exams and review sessions to boost confidence.
*Identify struggling students and offer extra help or resources.
* Support high-achieving students in achieving top scores.
* Maintain regular communication with parents about student progress.
* Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to enhance learning outcomes.
* Stay updated on changes to the AP curriculum and exam requirements.
* Attend relevant workshops or training sessions to improve teaching practices.
To apply, you must be:
- Fully qualified teacher with degree in related subject
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, ideally in High School
- Western trained teacher, AP experience is highly desirable
- Flexible to adapt into new culture
- Fluent/Native English speaker
