The Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Early Years Teacher to join our client's outstanding team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for our youngest learners, encouraging their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based and hands-on learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons that align with the Early Years curriculum.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired.
* Observe and assess children's progress, providing meaningful feedback to both children and parents.
* Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to ensure that each child's needs are met.
* Establish strong relationships with parents and maintain open communication.
* Participate in school activities, events, and continuous professional development to stay abreast of best practices in Early Years education.
Candidate Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Relevant teaching qualification such as EYFS, Montessori, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience teaching Early Years, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting.
- Expertise in child development, strong classroom management, creativity in lesson planning, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment and a willingness to embrace the vibrant culture of Shanghai.
- Familiarity with international Early Years frameworks such as the EYFS (UK), Reggio Emilia, or IB PYP.
