SeekTeachers is urgently seeking an experienced and qualified Primary Teacher to join our client in Malé, Maldives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in primary education and a deep understanding of the developmental needs of young learners. You will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning through exploration and play.
 
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and Implement Lessons: Develop and execute age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the American curriculum and cater to the individual needs of students.
- Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Assess Student Progress: Monitor and document students' growth and development, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Engage with Parents: Maintain open and effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and participate in parent-teacher conferences.
- Participate in Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Organize Classroom Activities: Plan and supervise extracurricular and enrichment activities that support holistic development.
- Maintain Classroom Management: Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures to maintain order among students.
 
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Certification: Valid teaching certification/license in early childhood education, preferably from the United States.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching primary grades in an international or American curriculum setting.
 
Skills:
Strong understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate teaching methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom.
Adaptability and cultural sensitivity in a diverse educational environment.
Strong organizational and classroom management skills.

Prefer candidates with international experience
Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted
Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted
Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:
A salary   MVR (Maldives Rufiyaa) per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE
