This international school is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Dance Teacher to join their vibrant Performing Arts department. The successful candidate will have a passion for dance and the ability to inspire students across all age groups. This role involves teaching a variety of dance styles, choreographing performances, and contributing to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging dance lessons across various styles and levels.
- Develop and implement a dynamic dance curriculum that caters to students’ diverse abilities and interests.
- Choreograph and direct performances for school events, competitions, and showcases.
- Encourage and mentor students, fostering a love of dance and performance.
- Collaborate with other Performing Arts staff to integrate dance into interdisciplinary projects.
- Participate actively in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field.
*Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
*A minimum of 3 years of experience teaching dance, preferably in an international school setting.
*Proficiency in various dance styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and cultural dances.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
