SeekTeachers is urgently seeking an experienced and qualified IBDP English teacher to join our client in Dubai this August.
Our client is an international school where the curriculum is taught in two languages, with teachers delivering instruction in one native language and a second teacher in the other native language: French and English. English is taught as a subject and holds a key value as the bilingual constituents of the school’s programme. All teachers are to be aware of the French and English languages co-existence in the school’s and students’ daily life and culture.
Requirements to apply:
– Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Language, or related field.
– Teaching Certificate (Certificat d’Aptitude au Professorat de l’Enseignement), PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education), Master of Education, or equivalent certification.
– Teaching experience required (High School).
– Experience in a French school abroad strongly desired.
– Knowledge of the French educational system and International Baccalaureate programs is highly desirable
– Excellent presentation and mastery of English
Responsibilities:
– Teach English in various secondary school levels.
– Prepare and deliver lessons in accordance with the curriculum.
– Adhere to KHDA guidelines (local Education Authority).
– Develop a communicative approach towards students.
– Regularly assess student progress and practice positive evaluation.
– Maintain digital lesson plans and grade records regularly.
– Prepare students for exams.
– Participate in pedagogical meetings.
– Contribute to the development of teaching materials.
– Recommend innovative pedagogical projects in line with IB approaches.
– Implement the institution’s policy and adhere to decisions of various institution bodies, in line with the IB program.
– Advocate for the educational values of the school and IB.
– Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote a cohesive and supportive learning environment, sharing best practices and contributing to the overall success of the school.
– Stay informed of advancements in education, participate in workshops, and actively engage in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills.
– Effective classroom management, open communication with parents, use of different teaching practices, including differentiated instruction.
