About the School:
Join our client, a prestigious American curriculum school in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, dedicated to providing an exceptional learning environment. We are currently seeking a Head of Library & Media to lead our library and media center, enhancing our students' educational experience.

Role Overview:
As the Head of Library & Media, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the library and media center operations. You will lead a team of library staff, ensuring the library's resources are utilized effectively to support the school's curriculum and promote a culture of reading and research.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement library policies and procedures in line with the school's objectives and American curriculum standards.
  • Manage the library budget, including acquisitions, subscriptions, and resources.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate library resources into the curriculum.
  • Provide library orientation and information literacy programs for students and staff.
  • Select and acquire relevant library materials, including books, periodicals, and digital resources.
  • Maintain the library catalog and manage circulation services.
  • Organize and promote library events and activities, such as book fairs and author visits.
  • Stay updated with current trends and best practices in library and media services.
  • Supervise library staff, including librarians and assistants, and provide professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.
  • Western-trained with experience in a similar role, preferably in an American curriculum school.
  • Strong knowledge of library management systems and digital resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and media resources.
  • Fluent in English, with Arabic language skills considered a plus.
