The Head of PE is responsible for all matters within the PE department. He/she is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning and academic attainment across the school.
An ideal candidate should have:
**Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
**Undergraduate degree in related field plus appropriate post-graduate educational qualifications (teaching certificate, Master’s degree etc.)
**Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in schools
**Evidence of successfully leading and managing change, ideally at a strategic level
**A good awareness of recent trends in curriculum content, aims, objectives and assessment
**Outstanding time management, problem-solving and organisational skills
