Primary Music Teacher | Music Teacher for Primary | Teach in Dubai
I am seeking an experienced primary teacher with music specialism to join my client for the next academic year. Now is the time to apply as interviews will be conducted soon over Skype or in person.
The school is a very international school with over 85 different nationalities at the school. Most of the teachers are from the UK or Ireland, where English is the main medium for teaching and learning.
Primary Music Teacher Requirements
*Have a B.Ed in Primary Education with Music specialism with QTS or a Bachelor’s degree in Music with a valid teaching qualification in Primary Education e.g. PGCE/PGDE
**Must have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience to apply
**Experience of the UK Primary National Curriculum is essential
**Having ABRSM qualification is beneficial to your application
**Western-trained
**Have an excellent command of written and spoken English
**Up to date with modern teaching pedagogy and practice
**Experience of teaching in the UAE or GCC is preferred
**Must be tech-savvy to apply and have an excellent working knowledge of using an IWB
**Experience of using a VLE is preferred
**Being able to speak Arabic is beneficial but not essential
The Music rooms are well resourced for music with many instruments for students including Guitars, Piano, Keyboard, Recorders, Tambourines, Drums and much more.
The school is very active in promoting the Arts and so required someone that has experience of teaching music at primary level. You will need to be a well organised teacher that can demonstrate skills with multiple instruments and promote Music in the school. You may also be required to take part in after-school clubs and activities.

Primary Music Job Description
**Plan and create an engaging lesson of music to cater for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students
**Prepare resources in advance for your students
**Have excellent classroom management
**Organise the music room to promote and engaging learning environment
**Ensure you carry out AFL
**Make sure your marking is up to date
**Differentiate your lessons to meet the needs of your learners
**Promote and inquiry-based learning environment
**Ensure that students are able to work independently and as part of a group
**Assist in lunchtime duty
**Attend school CPD sessions
**Attend and contribute to the staff briefing
**Attend parents evenings
Students are very pleasant to teach at this school and most you will find will push you, as the school promotes independent learning and wants to get the best from the students. The school has excellent facilities compared to most schools, with the buildings being divided into Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form. The school recently has a purpose-built CPD training building for the staff, where the staff can come to relax and also get trained. In addition, the staff is also provided with their own canteen and gym area which they can use after school as well.
