SeekTeachers is currently looking for an exceptional Head of Secondary to join our client in Cairo this August.
Our client is one of the leading international school in the country offering the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum leading to the English National Curriculum through to IGCSE. Students then have the option to take A Levels or IB Diploma in Year 12 & 13.
The international school is a member of CIS, BSME and also authorised by the IBO to deliver the IB Diploma Programme. The international school currently enrols over 1,500 students from aged 3 to 18.
The school mission is to provide high-quality British based international education. The teaching staff work with the parent body to help students become successful learners, confident individuals and global citizens.
Requirements:
**University educated with an Honours Degree
**Recognised teaching qualification
**Evidence of ongoing PD
**Further degree in Education, hold or working towards the NPQH OR ILMP OR similar
**In-depth knowledge and understanding of school curriculum, EAL provision, current educational issues and up to date curriculum developments, application of effective learning and teaching strategies that attain high levels of students achievement
Role and responsibilities:
*To ensure the best possible learning and teaching environment
*Responsible for the safeguarding of students, in line with the safeguarding policy and code of conduct and in collaboration with the Headmaster
*Responsible for the Health and Safety in the school
*Responsible for day to day running of the Secondary School, ensuring that this is in line with the school's educational philosophy
*Take responsibility for the day-to-day business management of the Secondary School
**To provide support, guidance, leadership and be a model of good practice for all staff
**Be understanding of the needs and issues facing all stakeholders within the school community
