I am urgently looking for a teacher of ICT to join my client in the Emirate of Sharjah. My client is a well-established school which opened its doors in 2002. The school delivers the IB Curriculum and the USA Common Core to students of the UAE. The majority of the students are Emirati with about 30% of the students being expatriates.
The working hours of the school are from 7-3pm and on Tuesday the school delivers CPD which you are expected to attend
Salary Package

Salary range, dependent upon years of experience and qualification: AED 12,100 to 15,675 per month

The school campus is located about 30 minutes into the Emirate of Sharjah. The school accommodation is next to the school. The centre of Dubai is about 45 minutes drive from the school. The school campus is purpose built with the latest technology. Most of the staff are western trained coming from USA, Canada, Ireland, UK, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
ICT Teacher Requirements to Apply:

Bachelor's Degree in ICT or an ICT related subject

A valid state teaching license in ICT
-
At least 2 years teaching experience
-
Being able to speak Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory

Western-trained
-
Have an excellent command of written and spoken English

Candidates with experience and knowledge of the ITGS will be considered

Experience of teaching ICT in the Middle East is preferred

Elementary Education (K – 5) teachers must have an Elementary Education license/certification
-
Minimum of two years teaching experience, if a holder of a Bachelor of Education Degree from a recognized accredited or nationally licensed University or College; or four years of teaching experience, if a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in a secondary education content area from a recognized accredited or nationally licensed University or College

Meet highly qualified definitions for teaching in their content areas as identified by coursework listed on their undergraduate college and postgraduate transcripts and defined by No Child Left Behind Act (USA)

Two confidential letters of recommendation from immediate past and current employers that are hand signed on official letterhead from the school and/or two confidentially completed

Knowledgeable of effective teaching methodologies, assessment strategies, standards-based instruction, and strong content knowledge

Possess excellent interpersonal communication, collaboration, problem-solving, decision making and relationship building skills

Understand and can use Standards Based teaching and assessment practices in the classroom

Is student centred in their delivery of instruction in the classroom

Understands the use of assessment data to design instruction that is differentiated based upon the individual and group instructional needs of students

Uses technology to advance learning, manage information and deliver instruction effectively to students

Is culturally competent and aware of the Cultural norms of the UAE
About Sharjah
Sharjah is located next to Dubai and border close to Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. You can get to the centre of Dubai in about 35 minutes from Sharjah. Sharjah is considered a dry Emirate where there is little consumption of Alcohol. It is the 3rd largest city in the UAE with a population of over 800,000 people.
