Schools are urged to focus on important life matters and cash related topics that will be useful for children in the ‘real world’ to understand the importance of money management and benefit them to maximise their financial knowledge so they are prepared once independent.

The mandatory subjects (English, Maths, Science, ICT) is not enough to support children in the ‘real world’ as going into university will lead to responsibilities and major duties once settled into a professional career where you will face bills, rents, mortgages, making financial arrangements etc.

Parents feel that education is fundamental for their children then why can’t school put in the effort to teach the most valuable life skill that every kid should know to develop into a young professional and built an outstanding career the right way understanding the fundamentals of budgeting finance.

Training should be provided for youngsters in schools so when they move abroad for university or start they career; they have the suitable knowledge to be able to carry out their daily errands (budgeting) and other important aspects in life.

Many students are struggling to cope with basic life skills as they weren’t introducing to it in school or by parents, so they find it hard to deal with banking, filling out forms as they have no information on these matters.

To prevent this and make it easier for younger youths, schools can input important lesson on finance, expenses and legal topics that are essential for every person to know for a living. This will help them learn from a younger age so in the future they can handle these legal matters in their own hands and make betters choices!
