The return to school would be a very different experience for the students and teachers as there will be new measures and guidelines to follow to maintain social distance. With social distancing, there will be a temporary stop to extra-curricular activities, large gatherings to keep a safer environment for all and both students and staff will have to adjust to their new rules in order to keep a safe space for all in a world with COVID-19.

Different schools may release an update parents’ guidebook with the set of new policies to follow and how education will be looking for the next following years. The health and safety team will always regulate, ensure all are following the new guidelines, and taking necessary precautions as if they are not then they can face a warning or penalty from the staff.

Now with this, many parents would want their children to study from home and start home-schooling to avoid attending schools so they can maintain a full social distance but then there are others who may feel comfortable sending their kids to school knowing all necessary precautions will be taken and school is handling the situation well by using face masks and sanitizing regularly.

Parents, you need to do your part and have that conversation with your child to help them protect themselves as well as others. Talking to them about wearing masks, hand-washing continuously, keeping themselves clean, using sanitisers so they are prepared to enter the schools and start studying. Teachers also, need to do their role to talk to their students, let them know about the new guidelines, help them adapt easily in this new situation, and stick to the hygiene measures; safely handwashing.
