As we are going through these difficult times, schools should ensure to teacher’s health is taken as a priority as they return from lockdown.

Physical and mental health is important; we should be there for each other in these strange times. it has not been a good experience for all, many have developed mental health issues or gotten worse for those who already suffered from mental health conditions. if the teacher’s wellness is not 100% then how can they focus at work. School leaders should support staff wellbeing and have more open conversations with their teachers to keep a healthy, safe environment for all to lead the school in a positive manner.

Wellbeing teachers lead to better teaching standards, higher grades, and great overall outcome for the school to start leading on amongst others and doing well in after the pandemic.

A good way to achieve this is by following a plan to motivate your staff, engaging with them in fun activities, offer more as this lockdown has not been easy and a new life-changing for them. You should celebrate their strengths, achievements, and inspire them to do better!

Remember to keep a kind, uplifting attitude always to communicate effectively with an open mind and approach to boost enthusiasm in the workplace. Full support should be provided always to ensure their wellbeing of state and mind such as counselling for educators to help them overcome their obstacles and start getting better and relieved from all the stress build-up from these past months.

Take it easy, we’re all humans at the end of the day and stay safe!
